Over the weekend the Woodford Folk Festival revealed their 2015/16 lineup and it’s time to get excited. As usual the Woodford Folk Festival have delivered a lineup of artists taken from the best of folk, roots, rock and world music that’s bound to satisfy any music lover.

The Kangaroo Valley Folk Festival is just under two weeks away and if you haven’t seen the lineup yet you’re in for a treat.

Another festival to announce their lineup over the weekend was Port Fairy, who released their second round of artists on Sunday night. Joining an already packed lineup are the likes of Breabach, Damien Dempsey, Love Over Gold, Hanggai, Mama Kin, Oh Pep!, Sásta, Shane Nicholson, Tolka, Totally Gourdgeous, The Twoks and many many more.

Palm Creek Folk Festival Announces Full 2013 Lineup

While the weather has definitely become very cool in the southern states our northern neighbours are still basking in the sun and reminding us that there are places in Australia where you never truly have to put up with winter. And being a folky the perfect excuse to escape the cold is to head to the Palm Creek Folk Festival this June.

Held about 40kms south of Townsville from the 7th to the 10th June, the Palm Creek Folk Festival is the perfect folky oasis in the middle of the bleak winter months. The festival has just announced its full line up as well making it even more enticing with artists like Mal Webb, Nicky Bomba’s Bustamento, Penny Larkins and Carl Pannuzzo (above), Richard Perso, Siskin River, Totally Gourdgeous and more on the bill.

Fleurieu Folk Festival Announces 2011 Program

South Australia’s best loved folk event, the Fleurieu Folk Festival, has just announced the lineup to its 2011 event to be held from the 21st to 23rd October in Willunga. Fleurieu is considered by many to be one of the hidden gems on the national folk calendar with many praising its ability to draw high quality acts while still maintaining an intimate, community feel.

This year should be no different with the likes of Totally Gourdgeous, Danny Spooner, Martin Pearson, Lucy Wise, Mal Webb, The Yearlings (above), Don Bruce, Traveller and Fortune and many many more all making an appearance (check the full lineup here). The National Folk Festival, held in Canberra over Easter each year, has announced another round of teaser headliners along with the release of it’s second lot of early bird tickets. The last of the major New Year’s Eve festivals to announce their artist lineup is by no means the least with The Woodford Folk Festival last night releasing an awesome program of folk, world, roots and indie music. The folk festival, easily among the most popular in the country, is held near Woodford, Queensland from the 27th December to the 1st January. In news that will probably surprise few but excite many, beat-boxer extraordinaire Mal Webb has confirmed via Facebook that he will be appearing at this year’s Woodford Folk Festival. While the official lineup is yet to be released Webb also confirmed the inclusion of his popular side project Totally Gourdgeous.
