how do? lovin’ your site here.. I wonder if you all might like mine. The jukebox there has almost three hours of music. I would love for you to hear it. Instrumentals and vocals both. Both electric and old school banjo… just looking for more ears… I live one hundred and ten miles from the nearest grocery.. my nearest nieghbor is two miles away… not alot of opportunities where I am at… Hope you make it… more important I hope you like it. I am pretty new at this interweb stuff, so if you like any of the music I guess you can contact me? Thanks for the ear, and the time.. -Daniel Patrick

Hi there, just wanted to let you know that I love this site. The contributors all do a great job and it’s great to be able to stay posted on some Australian artists who I enjoy and find out about new music as well. I’ve added Timber and Steel to my site’s blogroll here at Keep doing what you’re doing. Peace.

Hi folks- love your work- if any of artists are looking for gigs in Sydney they could do worse than try the venerable but funky Petersham Bowlo. Run by a singer-songwriter & a bunch of other committed volunteers, we do our best to support the local folk/roots/blues/alt country scene. Gigs are mostly Thursday, Friday nights & Sunday arvo, door deals with production supplied & no hidden costs- oh, & you get the meat raffle proceeds too. Email / Thanks for listening & good luck out there

      Hi Willz,

Timber and Steel is a blog devoted to folk and acoustic music. Good luck with your promotion!

Could I just point that as admirable a site as Timber and Steel is for rock and pop acts, there is precious little “folk” or “acoustic” here. Perhaps one in ten of these acts have an acoustic instrument buried in the mix somewhere.
