The Gaelic Club In Sydney Announces Upstairs and Underground Relaunch Show

The Gaelic Club in Sydney has been undergoing a much needed facelift over recent weeks. To celebrate the “new” club regular music night Upstairs and Underground will be putting on a very special show featuring some of the local scene’s best folk, blues and psychedelic artists.

On Saturday 15th November Upstairs and Underground will break in the new look Gaelic Club with performances from Bears with Guns, Liam Gale & the Ponytails and Aether Beach.

The night kicks off at 8pm with tickets $15 on the door. Check out the official Facebook event here for more information.

The latest single from The New Basement Tapes, made up of Elvis Costello, Rhiannon Giddens (Carolina Chocolate Drops), Taylor Goldsmith (Dawes), Jim James (My Morning Jacket) and Marcus Mumford (Mumford and Sons), is “Liberty Street” which has its own lyric video. The track is taken from the upcoming T Bone Burnett produced album Lost On The River: The New Basement Tapes which sees the band putting music to “lost” Bob Dylan lyrics from 1967. The album is due for release on the 6th November.

Details of the New Sarah Humphreys Album New Moon

Earlier this week we brought you “Take Your Time” the new video from Central Coast singer-songwriter Sarah Humphreys. The track is the first taste of Humphreys’ upcoming album New Moon which is due for release on the 14th November.

New Moon was produced by the one and only Kasey Chambers. “Kasey I knew I could trust with my songs,” Sarah Humphreys explained. “She knows me – she knows my songs. I didn’t want to entrust them all to some guy I don’t know.”

“I called it New Moon because the songs are influenced by the cycles of life; it’s how things work,” she added. “Every month, the moon goes from new to full and you have that dark phase, but you always come out of it, into the light. I’m just embracing those changes.”

To celebrate the release of New Moon Sarah Humphreys has a handful of shows planned for November and December – check out the full list of dates below:

Melbourne based alt-country singer-songwriter Marlon Williams has been everywhere this year – and that is set to continue with the announcement of his first full band headline shows and festival appearances.
