Port Fairy Announces First Round of Artists for 2015

March 2014 feels like an age away but that doesn’t mean it’s not time to start planning for the folk festival season – and to make your life a little easier the Port Fairy Folk Festival has announced its first round of artists for next year.

The lineup is headed up by Christine Anu, John Butler Trio and Charlie Musselwhite and also includes the likes of All Our Exes Live In Texas, Ami Williamson, Ash & Bloom, Bobby & the Pins, Catherine Britt, Chris While & Julie Matthews, Enda Kenny Band, Hat Fitz & Cara Robinson, Himmerland, Jan Preston’s Boogie Circus, Jeff Lang, Jodi Martin, Jordie Lane, Lake Street Dive, Mark Seymour & the Undertow, Marlon Williams, Maru Tarang, Sharon Shannon Band, Steve Poltz, The Black Sorrows, The Chipolatas, The Orbweavers, The Yearlings and We Two Thieves.

New Artists Added to the 2011 National Folk Festival

The National Folk Festival, held in Canberra over Easter each year, has announced another round of teaser headliners along with the release of it’s second lot of early bird tickets. The lineup additions include the who’s who of Australian and international contemporary and traditional folk including Shane Howard, Ricardo Tesi & Banditaliana, Catriona McKay & Chris Stout, Jodi Martin, Kim Cunio and Heather Lee, Margret RoadKnight, Martha Tilston & The Woods, Nancy Kerr & James Fagan, The Crooked Fiddle Band (above), The Barons Of Tang, Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer, Totally Gourdgeous and Pacific Curls.
