Bluegrass at Yulli’s For June 2014

The June edition of Sydney bluegrass jam night Bluegrass at Yulli’s has been confirmed and it’s next Wednesday the 11th.

The night works like this. Between 6pm and 8pm at Yulli’s in Surry Hills (the upstairs bar part) the monthly bluegrass jam takes place. The jam is open to all comers so make sure you bring your instrument and singing voice to run through a bunch of bluegrass and old-timey standards.

Then from 8pm the feature act starts which this month is Not Good With Horses whose sound is a mix of ragged country blues, bluegrass and rockabilly drawing influence from the likes of Neil Young, Gillian Welch, Justin Townes Earle & Townes Van Zandt.
