Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn Announce New Album

As well as being a married couple, Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn are considered two of the best contemporary banjo players in the business so it’s exciting to hear they’re teaming up professionally on a new, self titled album.

The debut album from Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn will be released on the 7th October.

“We didn’t want any other instruments on there, because we’re into this idea that we’re banjo players, and that should be enough,” Béla Fleck explained about the album. “Sometimes when you add other instruments, you take away from the ability of the banjo to show all its colours, which are actually quite beautiful.”
