If you’re a folk and acoustic music lover in Sydney and you haven’t been down to monthly folk night MoFo yet then it’s about time you rectified that situation as soon as possible. Showcasing some of the best music the city has to offer MoFo (which stands for Modern Folk) delivers month in month out – and November is no different with the announcement of Siskin River and Takadimi on the lineup.

Siskin River are sisters Shalane and Tullara Connors who have been showcasing their bluesy folk sound in festivals around the country. Fresh from an appearance at the Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival Siskin River are ready to get Sydney toes tapping.

Constant readers of Timber and Steel will be well aware of our love of Sydney based folk-fusion instrumentalists Takadimi so it’s always a pleasure to see them on a lineup. MoFo will be the perfect introduction to new fans of these guys – just be prepared to be amazed.

The November MoFo will be held at the Gaelic Club (upstairs) on Friday 9th November. Doors open at 8:30pm with tickets available on the door for $15. For more information check out the official Facebook event here.
