More Artists Added to the 2018 Gum Ball Lineup

As we make our way into February we’ve been blessed with another round of artists announced for this year’s Gum Ball festival in the Hunter Valley.

As always the announcement has a healthy contingent of Timber and Steel friendly artists including singer-songwriter Ben Salter (above), 10-piece reggae outfit V Tribe, Adelaide alt-country duo Hana & Jessie-Lee and many more.

The full lineup announced so far is as follows:

WOMADelaide Announces Full Lineup for 2018

Following on from their first round announcement last month WOMADelaide have this week dropped their entire 2018 program and it’s absolutely huge.

Joining the likes of Le Vent du Nord, Rodrigo y Gabriela and Yirrmal next year will be Scottish neo-Trad quintet Elephant Sessions, country-blues favourites Hat Fitz & Cara, roots collaboration Mama Kin Spender, Australian legends Tex, Don & Charlie, local alt-country duo Hana & Jessie-Lee’s Bad Habits, indigenous collective Mission Songs Project, Adelaide folk-pop singer Naomi Keyte and so much more.

The Americana Music Association of Australia Birthday Bash

The Americana Music Association of Australia (AMAA) will be taking over Australian Music Week in Cronulla, Sydney this year with a bunch of conference and live music events throughout the week.

As well as the Americana Music Association of Australia Conference on the 4th November, the AMAA is set to announce a raft of live music events in the days prior, the first of which is their first Birthday Bash concert on Friday 3rd November.

The Birthday Bash will feature live performances from Gretta Ziller, Small Town Romance, The Ahern Brothers, Andrew Swift, Georgia State Line, Hana and Jessie-Lee, The April Family and special guest Anne Kirkpatrick.
