Fairbridge Folk Festival Announces Second Round of Artists for 2018

WA based music festival the Fairbridge Folk Festival have just revealed the second round of artists for their 2018 event.

Joining the likes of The Lost Brothers, Perch Creek and Mama Kin Spender from their first announcement will be The Collingwood Casanovas (above), Will Pound and Eddy Jay, Dan Parsons, Catherine Fraser Trio, King Arthur, David Milroy, Via Pangée, Richard Walley, Martin & Coole with Crystal Jade and Praashekh Quartet.

The festival has also announced a children’s program including Woody’s World Family Band, Eco Faeries and The Weird Ticket

And finally there’s an extensive dance program as part of the announcement that includes African Oz Drum n Dance, Zakoeira and Dances of Universal Peace.

Based in the town of Pinjarra in WA, the Fairbridge Folk Festival is held from the 20th to the 22nd of April. For more information, including how to get your hands on tickets check out the official site here.

The Kyneton Music Festival Announces First Round of Artists

The Kyneton Music Festival, help in Kyneton an hours drive north of Melbourne, have just revealed the first round of artists for 2017 and as expected there’s plenty for Timber and Steel readers to get excited about.

The first lineup announcement includes Cash Savage & The Last Drinks (above), Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Loose Tooth, Flowertruck, Karl S. Williams, Freya Josephine Hollick, The Cactus Channel, Dan Kelly Dream Band, Sugar Fed Leopards, Fountaineer, Dan Parsons, The Twoks, The Wardens, Hollow Everdaze, Mightiest Of Guns and The Outdoor Type with many more to be announced.

The Kyneton Music Festival is help on the 20th and 21st October in St. Pauls Park, Kyneton, with shows also taking place in Major Tom’s and The Bluestone Theatre. For more information including how to get your hands on tickets check out the official web site here.

The Heartbreaker Sessions stream train keeps rolling on with the next show taking place this Sunday 1st November. The regular Sydney alt-country and Americana night has cemented a reputation as a must-go-to event every second Sunday.

This week’s Heartbreaker Sessions features two amazing singer-songwriters – the country folk of Dan Parsons and roots singer Jason Walker.

Melbourne based folk singer Dan Parsons has announce plans to release his third album Valleywood on the 20th October. Parsons’ blend of acoustic Americana, folk and singer-songwriter music has gained him lots of fans over the years and Valleywood will no doubt cement his reputation as one of the finest songwriters in the country.
