Sydney based alt-country singer-songwriter Luke Collings has just released his debut single “If You Bring The Whiskey (I’ll Bring The Blues)”.
The track was produced by Nick Payne (Dear Orphans) and features guest vocals from Brielle Davis (Not Good With Horses) as well as Collings’ band Greasy Lake.

To celebrate the release Luke Collings & Greasy Lake will be launching the single at Gasoline Pony in Sydney on the Wednesday 15th February supported by Lyn Taylor (Dear Orphans) and Peter Conaty. For more details check out the official Facebook event here.

From August Sydney will be treated to a brand new Americana live music night, Heartbreaker Sessions.
The brain child of Chris Familton (the man behind Americana blog Post To Wire) and the mysterious figure only known as “Daz”, Heartbreaker Sessions will take place fortnightly on Sunday evenings at Freda’s in Chippendale. The night will pretty low key with a combination of live artists and Americana DJ sets.
The opening night of Heartbreaker Sessions is set to take place on Sunday 9th August and will feature the one-two Americana punch of Caitlin Harnett and Brielle Davis (Not Good With Horses) singing up a storm along with the alt-country and Americana DJs. The night kicks off at 6pm and entry is free.
