The Tamworth Country Music Festival’s favourite alt-country singer-songwriter mini-festival The Cake and Cordial Sessions returns in 2017 with an amazing lineup of artists.
The Cake and Cordial Sessions will take place on Friday 27th January at St Paul’s Anglican Church Hall in West Tamworth. The lineup includes Ben Salter, Paddy McHugh, Harry Hookey, Megan Cooper, Matt Henry, Melody Moko, Andy Golledge and Sam Newton.
The Cake and Cordial Sessions is alcohol free, gambling free, air conditioned and family-friendly. The night kicks off at 4pm and tickets are just $15.

Brisbane, it’s time to celebrate – a brand new monthly night is coming your way this December! Paper Shoes Music and The Foundry have announced The Brisbane Folk Club, a new night of folky on the first Wednesday of every month.
The first Brisbane Folk Club will take place on the 2nd December at The Foundry in Brisbane and will feature local folk favourites Ben Salter, Neighbour and Marcus Blacke.
The night kicks off at 7pm and is just $12 on the door. For more information check out the official Facebook event here.
Paper Shoes Music have also announced the lineups for the first two Brisbane Folk Club shows in 2016 including Garrett Kato, Sissybones and O’ Little Sister on the 13th January and Sons of the East, The Forty Thieves and Andrea Kirwin on the 3rd February. Golden voiced alt-country singer Marlon Williams and his band The Yarra Benders have announced plans to return to the road this November and December with a national tour of Australia.
Williams has been wowing crowds in Australia and his native New Zealand for a couple of years now and his debut self-titled album is already topping best of 2015 lists – so these shows are not to be missed. Joining Marlon Williams in support will be Ben Salter.

Australia’s newest Americana festival Dashville Skyline last week announced the second round of artists for its inaugural event this October and we’re very very impressed.
