Monique Clare Announces Debut Solo EP By The Stars

Earlier this year Brisbane based cellist and songwriter Monique Clare was named by the Folk Alliance Australia as the 2017 Young Artist of the Year. Since then she’s also managed to successfully crowd-fund her debut EP which will be released this Friday 18th August.

Titled By The Stars the EP was partially recorded in the USA by Patrick Laird (Break of Reality) and completed back in Brisbane with Luke Woollett at Hunting Ground Studios. The first taster from By The Stars is the beautiful “Two Birds” which you can watch the video of below:

To celebrate the release of By The Stars Monique Clare will be launching the EP at the Brisbane Powerhouse this Saturday 19th August as part of the Restrung Festival. She’ll also be appearing at the Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival and is promising some more festival announcements to come – check out the full list of announced dates below:

Saturday 19th August – Brisbane Powerhouse, Brisbane, QLD
Sunday 20th August – The Junk Bar, Brisbane, QLD
Thursday 28th September – Fireside Sessions, Warrandyte, VIC
Friday 27th to Sunday 29th October, Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival, Dorrigo, NSW
