Australia’s favourite singer-songwriter, Josh Pyke, recently announced plans to hang up his “Josh Pyke boots” and go on hiatus from touring and recording his “own stuff”.

The news follows the release of Pyke’s recent Best Of album The Best of Josh Pyke + B Sides and Rarities and the subsequent tour which kicked off at the end of last month.

To help say goodbye Josh Pyke has announced a regional tour this November to celebrate 10 Years of his classic album Memories & Dust. These will be Pyke’s final shows before the hiatus.

“After I’ve wrapped up this year’s shows both here and abroad, I’ve decided to go on hiatus from touring my own stuff for a while,” Josh Pyke said in a statement. “The last dozen years or so of touring have been wild and hugely rewarding, and now I’m keen to dig into some other creative projects. In the meantime, I can’t wait to play for you all for the rest of 2017!”
