To kick off the new year the National Folk Festival has added a bunch of acts out of the USA for its 2016 lineup.

The new acts include the likes of singer and clawhammer banjo player Sheila Kay Adams, singer-songwriter Steve Poltz who who famously co-wrote Jewel’s 1995 break-out hit “You Were Meant for Me”, Grammy award winning bluegrass legends the Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band (above), harmonica virtuoso Phil Wiggins performing with Australian blues guitarist Dom Turner and US singer-songwriter Kristina Olsen.

The 50th National Folk Festival takes place in Canberra over the Easter long weekend, 24th to 28th March. Earlybird tickets are available now via the official site.
