The Audreys Announce Hiatus, Final Shows

In some bitter-sweet news it was recently announced that indie-folk duo The Audreys are planning on going on an 18 month hiatus.

The Audreys have been touring almost non-stop and a hiatus is exactly what they need to re-charge the batteries. But don’t despair as there are rumours that Taasha Coates will be releasing her debut solo album in July.

“I have only just started working on it, but I’m very excited,” Coates explained. “My plan at the moment is to do a bunch of co-­writes with fellow Australian song-writers then, if funds allow, go to Nashville to record it. The truth is, I love Nashville and really just want an excuse to go and hang out there for a month or two. Release is pencilled in for September 2016, so stay tuned.”

Fans of The Audreys have a few chances to see The Audreys before the hiatus so make sure you start marking these in your diary (and keep an eye out for a support slot yet to be announced:
