A Folky Guide to the 2016 Sydney Festival Program

The highly anticipated program for the 2016 Sydney Festival dropped today and as always it’s full to the brim of folky goodness. If you’ve been to any Sydney Festival shows before you’ll know that they sell out pretty quickly so it’s time to start planning now – tickets go on sale next Monday 26th October.

Our picks from the program this year include:

  • Joanna Newsom – The queen of the anti-folk movement, Newsom will be touring her brand new album Divers

  • Dirty Three – Legendary underground experimental trio in a rare performance

  • Matthew E White – The country-soul singer returns to Sydney with his band
