Sibling folk duo and Timber and Steel favourites The Acfields have just released their first single of the year “The Years”. The song is taken from their debut album and follows the true story of an elderly divorced couple reunited after suffering from dementia.
“Once we tell the story live, people tend to fall in love with the message of the song,” Hannah Acfield explained.
“The song does fit in with a bit of a theme that emerged on the album,” added Dan Acfield. “It wasn’t intentional, but a lot of the songs had a message which basically honoured previous generations of people in some way or another.”
