I was saddened to read on Facebook today that Sydney-based harmonic five piece Yetis have decided to call it a day. The post, which accompanied a video of their track “Luckiest Guy Alive” explained that this Thursday at Brighton Up Bar will be their last:
Yetis have had a great run, we have loved every minute on and off stage. Being able to play music is a privilege that we have had so much fun with, hoping that it might bring you some joy.
We have decided to let this Thursday’s gig be the last Yetis show, with the plan to reassess our vibe and possibility of another project in the future.
Thanks for everything, we really do feel like the luckiest guiz xo
It’s a real shame – Yetis are just a stunning live band that really haven’t played enough (and this announcement is making me regret all those times I didn’t go and see them). They will be sorely missed.
