The latest track to get the video treatment from James Vincent McMorrow is “Look Out” from his amazing, genre defying album Post Tropical.

“I made this video because I wanted to capture on camera the lights and 3D mapping we’ve created to use on tour,” James Vincent McMorrow explained. “The song is one of my favourites to play off of Post Tropical, I chose it because I face out on stage every single night and I’ve always wanted to see what the lights look like choreographing the flow of it, and have a record of it to keep. It’s not a single, I made it purely to capture something that I love, and to share with people before we start touring again in a few weeks.”

[…] 4. James Vincent McMorrow – “Gold” I saw James Vincent McMorrow at the Sydney Opera House earlier this year and it was one of the most spellbinding performances I’ve seen in years. “Gold” is a highlight from his album Post Tropical showcasing his rich falsetto, punctuated by harps and horns and backing vocals. Is this folk? Probably not in the strictest sense but it’s a definite evolution of James Vincent McMorrow’s sound from his earlier incarnation as an acoustic singer-songwriter.
