Ladies and Gentlemen, Folk Club is Back! After taking a break for the last three weeks Sydney’s premiere regular folk and acoustic night will return to the Oxford Art Factory this Wednesday 26th September, bigger and better than ever.

If you’re anything like us you’ve been trying to fill the mid-week music void but nothing has quite measured up so we’re so chuffed that Folk Club is not only back it’s also jam packed with artists we love. Headlining the night will be Sydney’s best loved bluegrass extraordinaires Bellyache Ben and the Steamgrass Boys (above) who will be pickin’ and pluckin’ their way into the hearts and minds of the Folk Club faithful. Joining them will be Laneway, who are smack bang in the middle of their album launch tour (check out our interview with them here), and Ryan Collings who has been wowing crowds for some time now with his unique singer-songwriter sounds.

And if that’s not enough this Wednesday’s Folk Club also sees our very own Gareth Hugh Evans officially take over the hosting duties as Emma Swift heads off on her Stateside adventures. Gareth is no stranger to the Folk Club stage having filled in for Emma a couple of times this year so he should be in fine form as he chats to Bellyache Ben and the Steamgrass Boys about their music and gives them a chance to tune while he waffles on.

Folk Club kicks off around 8pm in the Gallery Bar at The Oxford Art Factory this, and every Wednesday. Entry is free, although tips for the artists are part of what keeps them coming back, and we recommend you get there early as the place fills up fast. Can’t wait to see you all at Folk Club!
