You may not be aware but this Wednesday’s Folk Club at the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney is going to be the last for a month as the organisers take a break to regroup, reinvigorate and refresh in time for what is going to be an awesome summer of folk music. Which means if you’ve been umming and ahhing about coming down this is your last chance for a while – so you better grab ahold with both hands.
As always Folk Club is serving up a fantastic selection of music this week with the headline spot occupied by Sydney indie-folkers The Former Love. Joining them will be Folk Club founders The Falls, fresh from their tour with Passenger and the ever dapper, ever charismatic Brendan Maclean.
This week’s Folk Club will be officially hosted by our very own Gareth Hugh Evans who has filled in on hosting/interviewing duties at the last minute for a couple of weeks now but will actually going into this one fully prepared. The boys from ARTHEORY will be there as always videoing the night so make sure you dress up in your finest in case you become web famous. The night will kick off at around 8pm and entry is free although tips will be greatly appreciated and a hat will be passed around during the night.
