Beth Orton Announces First Album in Six Years and New Video

In January this year the wonderful Beth Orton visited our shores for her first tour in over six years. Now Orton fans have another reason to celebrate with the singer confirming she will be releasing her first album in six years this October.

Titled Sugaring Season the album will be released locally on the 5th October. “I stretched myself as a singer on this record and used voices I never have before as a writer,” Beth Orton explained via her press release. “A lot of the writing on this record happened in the dead of night, when spiders mend their webs, with an infant asleep in the next room… as a result, my writing became a secret again: illicit and my own.”

The first single from Sugaring Season is “Something more Beautiful” which has a a video below.
