If you’re a Sydney-sider you may have noted our lack of coverage for this weekend’s Surry Hills Festival. And the reason’s fairly simple – up until last week there weren’t too many Timber and Steel friendly artists on the bill.

But that all changed with a bunch of late additions and we’re happy to report that folk, acoustic and singer-songwriters have a strong presence this year. If you’re heading down to Prince Alfred Park this Saturday 27th October make sure you plant yourself at The Chai Temple venue and check out the following:

Bity Booker – 1pm, The Chai Temple
Jordie Lane – 2pm, The Chai Temple
Charlie Gradon – 3pm – The Chai Temple
Valley of Kings – 4pm, The Chai Temple
Bastian Fox Pelan – 5pm, The Chai Temple
Jordan Leser – 6pm, The Chai Temple
Steve Smyth – 7pm, The Chai Temple

And if that’s not enough music for you make sure you head to The Burdekin Hotel from 10pm to see the likes of Fanny Lumsden & The Thrillseekers and The Green Mohair Suits at the official Surry Hills Festival after party.

Entry to the festival is by donation with the gates opening at 10am. For more information check out the official site.
