Growing up in the Northern Territory, and in particular the Northern Territorian folk scene, pretty much meant I grew up with the music of Ted Egan. Egan has meant so much to the local music scene in the NT so it’s fitting that the man will be both the subject and the main performer in the final Courtyard Session of the year in Alice Springs.
The Courtyard Sessions, held about once a month at the Desert Park in Alice Springs, is the brainchild of local singer Jeanette Wormald and features some of the best local artists in the beautiful surrounds of the Western McDonnell Ranges.
On Sunday the 4th November Ted Egan will be joined by some of the red centre’s finest artists including Wormald, Colin Lillie, Sally Balfour, Katie Harder and more, to explore the rich and varied history of his wonderful songs. The show kicks off at 5pm (so the audience doesn’t bake in the desert sun) and entry is $15 on the gate.
For more information on the show check out the official Facebook event here.
