The Gulgong Folk Festival, held next year from the 3rd to 5th January, yesterday announced a lineup that should make the average Timber and Steel reader squeal with folky joy. With a mixture of traditional, contemporary and “new” folk acts the lineup boast some amazing performers including Wes Carr’s Buffalo Tales (above), Jack Carty, The Falls, April Maze, Daniel Champagne, Fanny Lumsden, Bellyache Ben, Mustered Courage and many many more.
Located in Gulgong in the Central West of NSW (about 4 hours from Sydney) the Gulgong Folk Festival has long had a reputation as one of the best small festivals in the country and is well worth the post New Years drive.
