America Touring Australia in September

If you’re obsessed with the bands currently making it big in the folk revival there’s a very good chance that bands like America soundtracked much of your childhood. It’s impossible not to hear songs like “Horse With No Name”, “Ventura Highway” and “Tin Man” in the work of artists like The Avett Brothers, Boy & Bear and Angus Stone. And now you have yet another chance to see the originals live in concert this September.

Following on from a successful tour in late 2010, America are coming back with founding members Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell in tow. In the support slot this time around is early 90s pop sensation Rick Price. The full dates for the tour are below with tickets on sale now:

Sunday 9th September – Canberra Theatre, Canberra, ACT
Monday 10th September – Enmore Theatre, Sydney, NSW
Wednesday 12th September – Perth Concert Hall, Perth, WA
Friday 14th September – WIN Entertainment Centre, Wollongong, NSW
Saturday 15th September – Twin Towns Auditorium, Tweed Heads, NSW
