Local Sydney not-folk-profit art group YOLK Collective, in association The Young Centenary Foundation and Georgie & Friends will be hosting a very cosy, very intimate evening of folk music this Saturday the 14th July. Not only will the night showcase some top indie-folk talent and visual artists but it will also support a cure for cancer – can you think of a more worthwhile way to spend a Saturday night?
Yolk Folk is set to feature the irrepressible talents of singer-songwriter Karla Nader, soulful-folk songstress ILUKA with Taylor Hogan, the wonderful Arbori and event collaborators Georgie & Friends. The night kicks off at 6:30pm at the newly christened Folk Yolk Est. at 49 Crown St, Woolloomoolloo and the whole thing is BYO food and drinks. Tickets are extremely limited and only $12 – pick them up via eventfinder here.
Nothing beats beautiful folk music, wonderful art and supporting a great cause. For more information check out the official Facebook invite.
