Darwin based blues-folk-country band Country Town Collective have been making waves in the Top End for a while now and we thought it was about time to introduce them properly to their southern neighbours. The band first crossed our radar early last year when they took part in the Music NT supported Long Way From The Top End tour showcasing NT bands in South Australia and with a brand new single and an album on the way Country Town Collective have definitely caught our eye again.
That new single we mentioned is “Why Baby”, a wonderfully dirty blues number that was released last month. Check it out below:
“Why Baby”
“Why Baby” is available from the band’s Unearthed page and features on their upcoming album Back When Never which is due for release in October. For more details on the album there’s a really nice interview with Country Town Collective’s Alice Rae on Music NT’s site here.
