Spiral Earth is an amazing UK folk website that we follow pretty religiously here at Timber and Steel. There focus is really on the contemporary and traditional side of folk music rather than “nu-folk” but their taste can’t be faulted. Each year they announce the Spiral Awards and this year’s winners include some familiar names like ahab, James Fagan, The Bad Shepherds and everyone’s favourite from the previous year June Tabor & Oysterband.
