Daytrotter Sessions, the wonderful online live music resource, recently teamed up with Communion Records to start recording out of London and provide its subscribers with an even more diverse range of music. One of the first sessions to be recorded by Communion gurus Ian Grimble and Richard Matthews was this wonderful set from Kyla La Grange.
Despite the electric guitars La Grange definitely has a folk sensibility surrounding her music which you can easily see come through on her tracks for Daytrotter: “Been Better”, “Courage”, “Sympathy” and “Vampire Smile”. If you’re a Daytrotter member you can listen to and download the session here.
