Timber and Steel has a list of amazing artists to spotlight longer than we care to mention. And we do plan on getting to all of them – we promise. But while we do make our way through that list we thought we’d bring you some news of one artist that’s sitting very near the top: Marcus Foster.
Marcus Foster is the current golden boy of Communion Records having signed with the label pretty early on. He’s about to release his debut EP Tumble Down on the 4th April this year which has the media over in the UK all abuzz. As a sneak peak for the EP we have the very first track “Shadows of The City” available to stream below. Have a listen, tell us what you think and keep an eye out for more Marcus Foster goodness to come.

Oh, god, there’s an Australian site that’s tracking Marcus? Thank the Lord! Just found your site, linked here from chords and candles. I have to admit that I’m looking forward to April 4th with a quiet desperation. And I have a little cry every time I look at his tour dates and realise that none of them say Australia in the locations. As for the song? Shadow of the City is one of my faves of his. Love his voice, love the bass, just love the whole thing.
I’m pleased that Marcus seems to be getting the exposure he deserves. This looks like being a huge year for him. Can’t wait!

I also love that someone is Australia is taking notice of Marcus. He is amazing and totally undervalued. I have been trying to find this EP somewhere for MP3 downloading. So far I’ve only been able to find sites that only sell to UK addresses. Does anyone have any suggestions?
